That's why I said 'could have'
Ok, he can't move up, no one will fight him anyway, and he already rules a great division with loads of amazing fighters. He is the best, most feared, most swerved boxer in history.

GGG is not a light heavyweight he's a middleweight all those fighters you mentioned retired. Ward the biggest name in the weight division higher than GGG moved up another weight so what options does he have apart from moving up one weight to an even more weaker division. Ward has to come down as does Kovalev to fight GGG not the other way round.

Hahaha
Yep, the whole boxing world has swerved him.
Quite how you swerve someone who won't move up to your weight, I don't know, but you obviously know all this information is water tight.

Re: Eubank jnr vs GGG

Froch did not want to fight him and Kessler didn't either. People call GGG out then he offers them money for the fight and they shit it. It's the same with Billy Joe saunders started shouting his mouth off so GGG team offered Billy Joe a great deal and Billy Joe shat it. Ward even moved up weight so that a fight was near impossible with GGG. This is the problem with modern day boxing fighters spend their whole careers avoiding good boxers.

Sussex, he could have fought, Froch, Ward, Kessler, and I'd put 3 of those you mentioned above anyone he has fought.

Eerie Descent 12:15 Fri May 27 GGG get bigger fights if he moves up the Super middleweight division is weaker, it has the likes of Badou Jack and Felix Sturm and Groves and DeGale it's a much weaker division. GGG would smash those fighters very easily.

It was fairly obvious to anyone that staying at that weight he would not be in any proper fights, I just can't understand why he didn't go up years ago, he hits hard enough for it. That's why we'll never know just how good he is.

Re amateur records there will be others whose opinion I would accede to, but from what I have heard there are certain towns where getting a decision is very, very difficult.
Re Golovkin, I like him as a fighter and he is the best out there, but the proliferation of weight divisions means the talent pool is far too diluted. I think it relates a lot to the sport becoming more scientific and body efficiency being a much bigger issue in gyms and promotions than the need to have two blokes of a fairly similar size who claim to be the best actually fighting. Same with all sports, the science takes something away from the spectacle.

Re: Eubank jnr vs GGG

If you look at his amateur record in a lot of cases he would have been the one to potentially get a bad decision, coming from the arse end of nowhere and fighting boxers from countries with much more clout in major championships. His amateur record is a truly outstanding one, I don't think it can be dismissed in any way.
He won't go down as a 'great' in all likelihood, because of the lack of 'great' opposition. That's fair enough but not much he can do about it. Perhaps he could put on about a stone and go after Ward? There's no-one in his weight division who represents that kind of opposition.

I'll give you bad decisions I'll give you awful decisions I'll give you "home" decisions
But I'm not accepting fixed, suggesting the result is known before the bout starts.

Just watched Abel Sanchez GGGtrainer talking of why Canelo gave up his title, he then got asked whose next and he states they want to get the belt of Saunders.

Eerie Descent IMO Murray was his toughest opponent, took him 11 rounds, says it all about the calibre he has faced.
Murray was never knocked down before he fought GGG who knocked him down twice, once in the 4th round and later on in the round 11. Murray has tough chin. David Lemieux is also a top fighter and Curtis Stevens. He has fought that best fighters that are available to him and dominated them.

Wings...
I was an amateur boxer for a number of years, whilst I wouldn't use the word 'fixed' amateur boxing is littered with bad decisions.
Home boys often get decisions.
So in a way I agree with Council.
However, 5 losses in 300 odd fights does mean something to me. So in that respect I don't agree with Scum.

Council Scum 11:22 Thu May 26 Re: Eubank jnr vs GGG Amateur records mean fuck all. Half the fights are fixed
Are you some kind of idiot?
I'm interested as to whom you believe fixes them? I've been in amateur boxing 20yrs, am the trustee of my local amateur boxing club, have seen thousands of bouts (we call them bouts not fights) So I'm really excited to hear your rationale to back up your comment.
Explain?
